Combination of project management, sales enablement, direct sales or channel sales, sales operations experience with increasing influence and responsibility. - Project management experience, including projects with multiple inputs and multiple stakeholders. - Strategic thinker that can distil broad visions and concepts into develop structured plans, actions and measurable metrics to execute those plans and deliver benefits. - Ability to assimilate to the team culture, and self-manage in a fast paced and dynamic environment. - Able to manage multiple projects with tight deadlines, possess a high level of self-motivation, and have an excellent work ethic - Established working experience in cloud technology, distributed computing or enterprise software sector. - Within the last 5 years have worked in a multinational, technology vendor company. - Strong written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills.
Job summary
World Wide Public Sector (WWPS) APJ Enablement is looking for an experienced Enablement Project Manager who is great fun to work with, because at Amazon Web Services, our motto is, “Work hard. Make history.” We are looking for an energetic and dynamic individual to take ownership of tools, training, processes, field-readiness assessments, and other enablement programs, that will help us effectively support our Partner Development Managers and Account Managers in APJ and equip them to better serve partners and customers to grow the business.
You will combine an understanding of direct and indirect sales dynamics, with the ability to synthesize field requirements and corporate resources into a comprehensive enablement strategy. You will work closely with the global and regional APJ enablement teams, the APJ Partner Development leadership team, Country Managers and other cross-functional and global leads and stakeholders, examining existing business practices while identifying new initiatives that would result in accelerating sales motions, increased win-rates and improvements in overall sales effectiveness. You will have an opportunity to combine a passion for problem solving, coaching and enthusiasm for technology to drive learning and establish positive customer relationships with new and tenured Partner Development and Sales employees.
This role has the opportunity to develop and deliver learning paths to equip Partner Managers and Account Managers with capabilities to develop joint pursuit plans with AWS Partners to solve technical challenges, launch innovative solutions, and deliver value to our mutual customers.
Key job responsibilities
- Create, execute, and manage role-based sales learning sessions for new and existing Partner Development and Sales teams, supporting specific training needs; add this content to existing programs or deliver as net-new.
- For each initiative, develop a project plan and communicate strategy to leaderships and stakeholders; fully own end-to-end progress against targeted objectives.
- Develop and scale enablement activities for the Partner Development organisation throughout the year, working closely with colleagues to identify gaps within the team’s needs, and design and implement projects to meet business requirements.
- Perform detailed needs assessments in collaboration with various stakeholders within the Partner Development organisation. Translate business needs into clear project requirements that inform scalable and repeatable initiatives.
- Plan and facilitate OR scale existing ongoing on-boarding &tools training, account planning and other improvement opportunities.
- Identify project roadblocks, research and present root-cause analysis, and manage resolution.
- Design and implement metrics to measure impact, effectiveness and utility of programs.
- Support ad hoc special projects as needed.
