Energy Markets Analysts

**Functional Scope**

The Energy Markets Analyst team is an internal support unit closely collaborating with sales, account management, contracts, settlements team, and other in-house stakeholders to provide insights and recommendations on energy market trends, risks, and opportunities.

The Energy Markets Manager is a managerial-level position and is responsible for leading initiatives that align with and drive the organisation's corporate objectives and strategies.

The successful hire will oversee a team of energy markets analysts based in Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines, with the following focus.
- Ensure the team delivers timely, accurate and comprehensive procurement analysis, summaries and service proposals.
- Support business units in various jurisdictions, including Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines.
- Develop and improve business processes related to energy market analysis.
- Develop systems and processes relating to new products and solutions concerning the energy market.
- Manage relationship with third party suppliers in the energy market.

**Role Skills and Experience**
- Proven leadership skills and the ability to manage a team effectively.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- In-depth knowledge of energy markets, pricing mechanisms, and regulatory frameworks in relevant jurisdictions.
- Proficiency in market analysis tools, data visualisation, and statistical modelling.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing business processes and workflows is an advantage.

**Role Responsibilities**
- Lead and manage a team of energy markets analysts in Singapore and the Philippines.
- Ensure the team produces accurate and comprehensive procurement summaries and service proposals for clients.
- Support business units in Australia, Singapore, and the Philippines by providing expert guidance on energy markets, pricing trends, and risk management strategies.
- Drive the continuous development and improvement of business processes and workflows related to energy market analysis.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and potential impacts on business units.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including energy suppliers, industry associations, regulatory bodies, and government agencies.
- Ensure compliance with relevant energy market regulations, policies, and standards.
- Identify and mitigate risks associated with energy procurement activities.
- Provide input and support to the Operations Director and senior management.
- Quality: Ensure accurate and reliable analysis and reporting in accordance with established standards and guidelines.
- Assist Operations Director with achieving departmental and corporate goals and strategies.
- Work in accordance with legal and regulatory requirements, company policies, and procedures.
- Commit to following and promoting a culture of excellence within the team.
- Perform duties within the company's quality system and adhere to workplace health and safety measures.
