**What you will be working on**
- 1. Technology scanning and fore-sighting
a. Conduct landscape scans to keep abreast of technological developments and identify promising key and sub-technologies for further assessment.
b. Analyse and integrate inputs to assess the present state-of-the-art, and forecast technological development and cost trajectories of specific technologies.
2. Evaluating the strategic roles and use cases of energy technologies.
a. Identify and propose strategic roles and use cases that specific technologies could perform in the Singapore power system based on their characteristics.
3. Conducting studies to evaluate technical and economic viability, and providing recommendations.
a. Evaluate the techno-economic feasibility of deploying emerging energy technologies in Singapore via expert consultation, research platforms, consultancy services and information from developers.
b. Conduct market analysis and forecasting to assess energy supply and demand dynamics, pricing trends, and future energy scenarios.
c. Provide recommendations based on holistic consideration of technical, economic and socio-political factors, and evaluate the potential impacts of policy changes and market developments on the energy industry.
4. Developing and implementing deployment plans
a. Develop an implementation roadmap towards deployment, including infrastructure, stakeholder engagement, regulatory frameworks, etc, in collaboration with other departments and agencies.
b. Work with stakeholders to develop policies to facilitate the implementation of emerging energy technologies in Singapore.
**What we are looking for**
- Good degree in Electrical/Mechanical/Chemical Engineering or other relevant Engineering-related qualifications.
- Prior experience in the power sector is advantageous.
- Familiarity or experience with policy and regulatory work is beneficial.
- Excellent analytical, planning, and communication skills (both written and verbal).
- Resourceful in integrating information from various sources and deriving insights.
- Ability to critically assess energy technologies in Singapore's context and provide well-considered analyses.
- Effective in representing EMA and communicating with internal and external stakeholders.
- Knowledge and understanding of conventional and emerging energy technologies is a plus.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work under tight timelines.
