**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**
- Identify suitable vessels as and when required by the company for it’s business needs
- Negotiate main terms of business and charter party details with owners/charterers, reduce risk exposure and evaluate commercial viability.
- Responsible for Vessel employment for chartered vessels; identify & fix best available businesses through contact with owners/operators and international ship broker channels, and intelligent projection/analysis of market trend.
- Serve as the primary contact between vessel owners and internal customers.
- Maintain accurate records of charter agreements, communication, etc.
- Monitor fixture reports and chartering market trend, provide market analysis to management upon requests.
- Any other ad-hoc duties tasks as assigned.

**EXPERIENCE, SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE**
- Bachelor’s degree in Marine Transportation, Operations Management or a related field.
- Significant experience in chartering and operations within the maritime industry.
- Minimum 5 to 8 years' experience in marine transportation, chartering, brokering and vessel operations field.
- Strong ability to negotiate and finalize agreements.
- In-depth knowledge of the ocean freight market, especially in Asia/Oceania geographic area; and able to make informed decisions based on market insights.
- Being familiar with containership type and features, have strong sense of pricing ship’s charter hire.
- Good at building strong relationships with vessel owners, brokers, and industry stakeholders
- Prioritize tasks and adapt in a fast-paced, changing environment.
- Have a good general IT knowledge.
- Multi-lingual advantages - spoken, read and write which will facilitate communication with respective counterparty.
- Possesses a valid right to work in Singapore.
