**Intern (Digital Solutions, APAC, Middle East, and Africa)**:Full-time internship

Big data, artificial intelligence and advanced analytics are transforming the insurance industry across the value chain. Munich Re is at the forefront of this trend, having made a significant investment in start-of-the-art analytics infrastructure and software, central and regional analytics centres of competence and several successful analytics initiatives with its clients worldwide.

Munich Re has experienced exponential growth in demand for analytics projects from its clients in life and health. We are looking for two interns who are interested to be part of the regional Digital Solutions team located in Singapore. The division supports Munich Re’s Life and Health clients in Asia-Pacific, Middle East and Africa business. As such you will work in an agile and innovative area, gaining exposure to a wide variety of business problems, other teams of Munich Re, clients and geographies.

This position will report to the Senior Business Consultant from Digital Solutions and will be based in Singapore.

Your job
- Support the regional Digital Solutions team. The intern will have the opportunity to shadow various team members within the team (Underwriting automation, AI and analytics, Business team)
- Perform competitor research and analysis on existing automated underwriting systems across reinsurers and insurers
- Research on recent and up to date AI underwriting solutions in the market, and any market developments relevant to the nature of the business
- Assist in taking meeting minutes where relevant and ensure timely follow up on assigned tasks
- Perform research on the different regulations across cloud and data transfer in various markets, and support the Chief Business officer/Chief Transformation officer in the planning and rollout of various projects
- Perform other project administrative tasks (for e.g. scheduling of regional team meetings and other follow up, etc.)
- Assist the project manager and key business leads in preparing and delivering stakeholder reports in a timely manner
- Support in the creation of project management frameworks and tools, followed by rollout of these tools across different projects via communication with key stakeholders
- Support team members in their daily tasks where applicable
- Others: Organize team and social events (be it virtual or physical)

**Profile**:

- Preferably in the penultimate or final year of university
- Pursuing Degree in Tech/IT, Business, Accounting, Economics, Actuarial Science, Mathematics
- Resourceful, willing to learn and able to work independently
- Prior internship experience is preferred
- Keen interest in emerging technologies such as AI, blockchain, digital transformation, automation, etc.
- On track to at least second upper or equivalent (preferable)
- Attention to detail, logical, display a willing to learn attitude, go-getter
- Excellent technical and analytical skills, logical and concise in approach and demonstrate attention to detail
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal)
- Someone who is able to think outside the box and be able to see ideas and concepts from different perspectives
- Good recording and tracking skills to ensure timely follow-up on tasks/activities
- Self-motivated and able to work within a team environment, outcome focused
- Strong ability to multi task
- Students with existing exco/leadership positions preferred.
