**PURPOSE OF THE ROLE**

The Head Bartender is responsible for controlling the entire bar operations including employee’s schedules, staff functions and responsibilities in the absence of the Bar Manager. Work scheduling also involves empowering employees through delegation of duties and training to better their skills. A strong and decisive personality is required to ensure a great and collaborative atmosphere to achieve and maintain our high standards on drinks and guest satisfaction.

**KEY RESPONSIBILITIES**

Preparation
- Ensure that the bar area is organized with the necessary equipment and ingredients for full service
- Ensure that the bar is always restocked for the full service
- Ensure that your team have the proper product knowledge
- Order stock according to requirements during service
- Ensure that all drinks are made with the required standards
- Ensure that all guests are well looked after when dining on bar
- To maintain a clean and tidy bar
- To conduct oneself impeccably
- To deal with any issues bar related
- Prepare customer drinks on bar/restaurant dining closing
- Ensure the order of any/all ingredients required for tomorrows service
- Ensure low wastage levels of products
- Prepare daily and weekly reports
- Ensure any products disposed of if going out of date

**KEY SKILLS REQUIRED**
- Previous experience as a Head Bartender
- Experience in menu development and openings
- Attention to detail
- Possess excellent knowledge of all beverages
- both alcoholic and non-alcoholic, including cocktails
- Have experience in stock management
- Have excellent communication skills
- Have knowledge of health and safety regulations
- Be competent with Microsoft Office and F&B systems
