We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Head of Channel Development.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

Distribution Strategy & Optimization
- Design and develop HSBC Life multi-distribution channel growth strategy across retail and HNW segments, construct detailed business and financial plan taking considerations of market growth, competition landscape and HSBC life unique position with Bank and regional connectivity
- Drive execution, lead and co-ordinate with wide group of HSBC internal and external stakeholders on strategic initiatives. Liaise and act as conduit to group in facilitating discussions and approvals
- Review and advise business on synergy amongst channels and with other HSBC Life markets and propose ways to optimize and leverage collective expertise and resources
- Align within HSBC Life distribution and other functions (Products, Operations, Finance, Customer Marketing, Legal, Risk and RC) on individual and collective accountabilities in delivering sustainable financial and non financial KPIs
- Collaborate with HSBC Life Finance and Distribution Performance, WPB and external distribution to acquiring insights and trends on channel performance and provide regular management updates on key areas we could accelerate growth and/or risks to monitor

HNW Commercial Development

Program Lead on HSBC Life Singapore HNW strategy and responsible for execution and deliverables. This role will focus on alignment of development and priorities to HNW and HSBC Life overall growth ambition by leading discussion and design and development in the following areas:

- HNW Customer segment insights and how HNW solution fulfilling needs on domestic and international relationship groups; and appropriate marketing and client engagement approach
- Proposition led product and solutions design and developments; with references to both internal HSBC Life Asia and global capabilities and external benchmarking
- Distribution value chain and dynamics of HNW including HSBC internal Global Private Banking, Commercial Banking, HNW agency, partnership intermediaries HNW Brokers, FA, and 3P Banc
- HNW segment financials including Product VNB, Commercial terms and distribution and marketing cost effectiveness
- New business and underwriting competitiveness versus internal and external benchmarking
- Legal, Risk and RC domains across sales process, cross-border enablement and UHNW solution design and implementation
Requirements
- Confident leader with history of leading large scale change and transformation projects
- Strong financial acumen and knowledge in distribution in bancassurance & partnerships
- Background in customer proposition, especially in HNW / UHNW segment would be beneficial
- Good understanding of legal, financial and regulatory compliance risks associated with Distribution
- Experience in matrix stakeholder management and approval governance
- Ability to work across multi-disciplinary and multi-cultural diverse work environment. Outstanding interpersonal and communications skills with a proven ability to communicate effectively and confidently at all levels
