**Duties**:
**This position is remote work (long distance remote) and telework eligible consistent with the Agency's telework and remote work program policy. **Typical work assignments include**:
- Analyzes and solves particularly complex and sensitive issues that involve proposed pay, leave and debt legislation.
- Provides Expert pay administration advice and guidance on leave audits,, Fair Labor Standards Act, special salary rates, annual compensation reviews, recruitment, relocation, and retention incentives, and other pay and debt-related flexibilities.
- Analyzing and taking corrective actions on complex pay problems and inquiries submitted by employees, administrative staff, managers, and supervisors.
- Reviews newly issued regulations or directives to ascertain their impact on the processing of personnel actions, the pay & compensation and debt programs.
- Researches various data sources to determine the nature of compensation inconsistencies.
- Processes legally binding employee settlement agreements and garnishments.
- Expertise in NFC, Payroll, SPPS, Leave, and CyberPay.

**Qualifications**:
**To be considered mínimally qualified for this position, you must demonstrate that you have the required experience for the respective grade level in which you are applying.**
**You qualify for the GS-12 grade level, if you have**:
**EXPERIENCE**:At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-11 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
- 1) Analyzes and solves complex compensation issues, such as those involving proposed pay, leave and debt legislation; and
- 2) Providing pay administration of issues such as leave audits, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), special salary rates, annual compensation reviews, Recruitment, Relocation and Retention Incentives, and other pay and debt-related flexibilities; and- **You qualify for the GS-13 grade level, if you have**:
**EXPERIENCE**:At least one (1) year of specialized experience at the GS-12 grade level (or equivalent) performing the following duties:
- 1) Developing and disseminating policy, procedures, and principles related to payroll operations; and
- 2) Leading special projects or work groups intended to improve organizational effectiveness; and
- 3) Analyzes and solves complex compensation issues, such as those involving proposed pay, leave and debt legislation; and
- 4) Providing pay administration advice and guidance of issues such as leave audits, Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA), special salary rates, annual compensation reviews, Recruitment, Relocation and Retention Incentives, and other pay and debt-related flexibilities; and- **National Service Experience** (i.e., volunteer experience): Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
