**What the role is**
- The Singapore Police Force (SPF) plays a critical role in keeping Singapore safe and secure with our mission to prevent, deter and detect crime. The Police National Service Department (PNSD) oversees the NS Policy and Planning Division which supports the SPF mission by ensuring the efficient and effective administration of the PNSF and PNSmen through policies and doctrines. The 2 NS Policy and Planning officer assists the Assistant Director of NS Policy and Planning Division in the management of HR matters to maximize the potential and to maintain a high state of operational capability and readiness of PNSF and PNSmen community.

**What you will be working on**
- We are looking for a driven and dynamic individual who should be passionate about people and interested in developing policies and reviewing existing polices for human resource and organisational development. You will be working in a fast-paced environment that would require the ability to manage multiple priorities and stakeholders. You will be required to have good knowledge of Ministry of Home Affair’s strategic thrusts with regards to Home Team National Service and develop frameworks to realize the potential of every PNSF and PNSmen. You will work closely with PNSD leadership group to develop and oversee the implementation of these transformation initiatives and align them to SPF’s policing outcomes. The jobholder is accountable for the following: a) Oversee HR data management and processes b) Assist PNSD to develop and review PNS Manpower policies, directives, doctrines and other general administration issues relating to Police National Service c) Ensure the prompt administration of PNSD staff’s manpower processes such as postings, ranking and promotions d) Manage the Training Program for PNSD staff
e) Participate in committees / projects, within department, across department or across ministry which required PNSD’s involvement f) Manage and maintain PNSD IT systems, inclusive of accounts management, contract management, vendor maintenance, Service/Change Requests, and related enhancements g) Manage and maintain the Police National Service-related work processes in the HR & Payroll System (HRPS) h) Organise and document necessary reports and work processes to ensure accomplishment of assigned tasks
