The mission of the Health Manager is to guarantee the proper functioning of the health service and to contribute to the health of the children and adolescents at the school as well as the IFS staff. He/she is responsible for the Health Department and acts as a referent and actor of health in the school, both in the individual and collective field. RESPONSIBILITIES Management of the activity and the team: - Manage the Health team composed of 5 nurses and first aiders (lead team meetings, define and monitor annual objectives, planning...). - Manage the budgets (pharmacy orders, COVID, CESC (Health and Citizenship Education Committee), others). Liaising with the teaching team: - To be the referent on health issues concerning the students, by participating in the pedagogical meetings. - To liaise with psychologists and to follow up on complex situations. Specific tasks: - Manage the anti-bullying unit in conjunction with school life. - Develop the network with the other health services of the different international schools. Occupational health mission: - Conduct health interviews with staff who wish to do so with an empathetic approach - To advise and link staff with external health professionals if necessary. - Carry out health advice and awareness-raising activities to prevent the onset of disorders (stress management, prevention of musculoskeletal disorders, etc.) - Continue and develop "well-being at work" initiatives in conjunction with the HR department - Provide support to the HR department and managers when necessary - Train staff in first aid, particularly the team in charge of sports activities Reporting: - Participate in the Health and Safety Committee once a week - Present a weekly activity report to the committee and prepare the statistical indicator table once a month - Nursing or First Aid missions (replacement if needed by the corresponding services): - Identify the needs, make a health diagnosis, implement appropriate actions and evaluate them - Plan, organise and provide first aid based on own observations or on medical prescription - Dealing with emergency situations involving everyone present in the establishment and organising external care if necessary - To monitor the health of the pupils, to keep the documents relating to the care provided up to date, to inform the parents and to report to the management - Promoting the integration into school of young people with disabilities or chronic illnesses - Acting as a health advisor within the educational team - Designing and implementing preventive actions and education in hygiene and health through interventions in the classroom - Ensuring the proper functioning of health care equipment and managing the stock and inventory of the pharmacy - Ensure the preparation and follow-up of safety kits. - Carry out any other task that may be assigned by the supervisor
