**About the Course**

Vertical Institute’s **Data Analytics Course** equips learners with foundational skills in Excel, SQL, and Tableau—enabling them to analyze data, draw insights, and present findings clearly. The course prepares professionals to make informed, data-driven decisions by working with real-world datasets and business scenarios.

Classes are held during **weekday evenings or weekends**, delivered by a lead instructor with support from a teaching assistant.

**Role Overview**

As a **Teaching Assistant**, you will support live instruction and help create a smooth and engaging learning experience. You will assist learners during hands-on labs, guide them through analytics tools, and provide continuous support both in and outside of class.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support instructors during **live Zoom sessions**, including managing breakout rooms, moderating chat, and providing live demos
- Assist learners with **hands-on exercises and labs** across key course modules:

- Data cleaning and analysis using **Excel**:

- Writing and optimizing **SQL queries**:

- Creating dashboards and visualizations in **Tableau**:

- Respond to learner questions via our **Telegram community** and **e-learning platform**, offering technical and conceptual guidance
- Track and mark **attendance** in compliance with SkillsFuture Singapore (SSG) requirements
- Share learner insights and feedback to help refine course content and delivery

**Qualifications and Skills**
- Proficient in **Excel**, **SQL**, and **Tableau**, with the ability to guide users through analysis and visualization workflows
- Strong understanding of data cleaning, querying, reporting, and visualization techniques
- Ability to clearly explain data analytics concepts to beginner-level learners
- Comfortable with online teaching tools, including Zoom; must have a stable home setup (camera, mic, internet)
- Previous teaching, mentoring, or TA experience is a strong advantage
