Job summary

We are looking for Advocacy Program Manager to join the Developer Relations team at AWS in Asia-Pacific and Japan (APJ). Our creative, experienced, and energetic organization is responsible for helping to drive the development and adoption of AWS services. In this role, you’ll be a part of the team that combines technical skills, passion, and creativity to generate grass-roots attention and support for AWS among key industry innovators and technologists in [geo], as well as globally.

This is an opportunity for you to work closely with Developer Advocates and Community Managers to help thousands of Developers and other Hands-On Builders to accelerate their success with AWS, fostering organic advocacy and platform adoption. We are a developer obsessed team, working to relentlessly improve their experience and learning process adopting modern technologies. We think big, constantly drive innovation and transformation on behalf of customers.

Key job responsibilities
- Program and stakeholder management, organizational and reporting support for Developer Relations efforts, such as driving strategy for first-party AWS and third-party community events, curating technical content plans for written, video and audio channels, and other
- Scale the impact of Developer Advocates efforts by owning execution tasks related to Developer Relations driven awareness programs
- Support programs focusing on first-party and third-party technical communities, including community research, outreach, and feedback mechanisms
- Invent and simplify new ways to improve interactions with the community and customers, leverage automation to reduce duplicate efforts, improve content production workflows, streamline reporting and measurement of efforts
- Build and support effective mechanisms to help Developer Advocates collect, distill, and structure input from the community and customers, and work with internal stakeholders accelerate improvement of developer experience
- Look for opportunities to drive efficiencies on processes to empower Developer Advocates and Community Managers to focus more on the community and customers
- Collaborate with internal teams to continuously improve program initiatives for technical audiences, market positioning, gathering customer feedback, and nurturing and growing technical communities
- Work with your worldwide counterparts to share best practices and help build a best-in-the-industry developer relations organization.
- PMP (Project Management Professional) certified or similar
- Experience with working in remote international teams
- Experience in digital marketing tools such as Qualtrics, Marketo, Salesforce
