Based in our offices in Redhill, Surrey (and occasionally Moorgate, London), S&P Global Market Intelligence, Maritime & Trade requires a Data Associate to accurately maintain and further develop our ports data set. This data is collected for commercial ports globally and assists in providing a top-quality service to S&P Global Maritime & Trade clients.

Primarily based in our offices in Redhill, Surrey, S&P Global Market Intelligence, Maritime & Trade requires a Data Associate to accurately maintain and further develop our ports data set. This data is collected for commercial ports globally and assists in providing a top-quality service to S&P Global Maritime & Trade clients.

S&P Global Maritime Ports team maintain a database of over 6,900+ ports, 17,000+ terminals, 44,000+ berths, 4,400+ port plans and 14,500+ port zones globally.

**Duties and Responsibilities - “Your Role”**
- To actively research and scrutinize a variety of data sources to extract and evaluate relevant data
- To contact Terminal Operators, Port Authorities, and Agents to obtain up to date and detailed port information
- To carry out regular audits on the data ensuring currency, consistency, completeness, and correctness is achieved
- To review port plans and send changes required to the Port Plan inbox
- To ensure the team's work and methods are carried out according to the Company's Quality Policy and Style Guide
- Demonstrate positive response to port audit feedback provided by senior colleagues

**Job Requirements - “About You”**
- Excellent attention to detail and a logical approach to problem-solving
- Previous work experience with databases and data research
- Investigative, research & analysis skills
- Ability to work to a high level of accuracy with attention to detail
- Good geographical knowledge
- Experience of working in a data-driven environment
- Good spoken and written English
- Second language to English would be desirable, but not essential
