**Job Title: Furniture Purchaser**
**Location**: Singapore (with travel to Malaysia and China)
**Employment Type**: Full-time

**Key Responsibilities**
- **Sourcing and Procurement**Identify and evaluate reliable furniture and raw material suppliers, manufacturers, and vendors in Malaysia and China.
Research and analyze market trends to source innovative and high-quality furniture that aligns with our brand's vision.
Maintain a database of suppliers, pricing, and product information.
- **Vendor Negotiations**Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery schedules to achieve cost savings while maintaining quality standards.
Establish long-term partnerships with reputable suppliers.
- **Quality Assurance**Conduct on-site visits to suppliers' facilities to assess product quality and production processes.
Ensure all purchases meet company standards for quality, durability, and design.
- **Inventory and Budget Management**Collaborate with the sales and operations team to forecast demand and plan purchases accordingly.
Manage purchasing budgets and ensure procurement aligns with the company’s financial goals.
- **Logistics and Supply Chain Coordination**Work closely with logistics teams to coordinate the shipment of goods and ensure timely delivery.
Oversee import/export documentation and compliance with local regulations.
- **Travel and Market Visits**Regular travel to Malaysia and China to meet suppliers, attend trade shows, and explore new sourcing opportunities.
Stay updated on regional trends and emerging products to maintain a competitive edge.
- **Reporting and Analysis**Prepare detailed procurement reports, including cost analysis, vendor performance reviews, and market trends.
Provide recommendations to management for improving sourcing strategies.

**Requirements**:

- Diploma/Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
- Experience or Willing to learn in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the furniture industry.
- Strong knowledge of the furniture manufacturing industry and supply chain in Malaysia and China.
- Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently, manage multiple tasks, and meet deadlines.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software.
- Willingness to travel extensively within Malaysia and China.
- Fluency in English is required; knowledge of Mandarin and/or Bahasa Malaysia is an advantage.
