Presales Cloud Solution Architect

**Key Purpose of the Job**

The Cloud Solutions Architect (CSG) is responsible for technically partnering with the sales team during the pre-sales process. This involves understanding the technical IT requirements of prospective partners and end customers, and designing system architecture for appropriate cloud-based solutions. The role also includes presenting and selling these solutions to customers, conducting Proof of Concepts (POC) and product demonstrations, and preparing Bill of Materials (BOM) and costing estimates. Additionally, the role involves providing technical training to the inside sales and product teams, and offering technical inputs and support to the managed services team for post-sales migration and implementation activities.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Understand the detailed technical IT requirements of prospective partners and end customers, and design appropriate cloud-based solutions.
- Present and sell solutions to customers, including providing technical clarifications, drafting initial proposals, completing POCs, conducting product demonstrations, and preparing BOM and cost estimates.
- Provide technical support and training to partners, sales, and product teams, and offer inputs and support for post-sales migration and implementation.

**Key Requirements**
- Engineering graduate in CS/IT/EEE/ECE or a Postgraduate in Computer Science.
- Around 8 to 12 years of experience in the IT domain with at least 4+ years in a technical pre-sales/Solution Architect role for cloud-based product offerings, or equivalent experience in technical consulting, technical support, or systems engineering for networking, server, storage, software, or security products.
- Hands-on experience in designing architecture for relevant products (e.g., networking, software).
- Good knowledge of cloud technology and ecosystems (e.g., IaaS, SaaS, PaaS).
- Hyperscaler-certified Solution Architects are preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills, communication skills, and customer orientation.
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- In-depth knowledge of key Cloud Services.
- Proven experience in assessing clients' workloads and technology landscape for Cloud suitability, developing business cases, and creating Cloud adoption roadmaps.
- Proven knowledge of hyperscaler platforms and tools.
- Experience in working on RFPs, proposals, and solutions.
- Experience in defining new architectures and the ability to drive projects from an architectural standpoint.
- Knowledge of best practices and market trends related to Cloud and the overall industry, providing thought leadership (e.g., seminars, whitepapers) and mentoring teams to build necessary competencies.
- Ability to quickly establish credibility and trustworthiness with key stakeholders in client organizations.
- Experience in building scalable production systems (e.g., load balancers, memcached, master/slave architectures).
- Excellent verbal, written, and presentation skills.
- Certification in any of the Hyperscaler architectures is desirable.

**Roles and Responsibilities**
- Provide solutions to meet client requirements and adapt to new requirements.
- Develop architecture blueprints and detailed documentation. Create BOMs, including required Cloud Services and tools.
- Design the overall Virtual Private Cloud (VPC) environment, including server instances, storage instances, subnets, and availability zones.
- Design the Hyperscaler network architecture, including VPN connectivity between regions and subnets. Design the HA/DR strategies.
- Execute migration plans.
- Leverage appropriate hyperscaler services.
- Validate the environment to ensure it meets all security and compliance controls.

Set up processes, services, and tools around the cloud. Oversee the build of the environment.

Pay: $6,000.00 - $10,000.00 per month
