Hong Kong office set up J&D Singapore recently is for the expansion of their trading business as Singapore is the top financial centre with robust IP protection, ample availability of funding and a business-friendly regulatory environment regardless with its stable political environment in South-East Asia.

The office is Singapore is part of the business expansion for J&D, and the office in Singapore is

doing wholesale trading in waste and scrap products.

We are currently looking for a Business Development Director for the expansive business in Singapore.

We are looking for a detail-oriented and driven director of business development to increase company revenue by identifying profitable business opportunities and developing long-term business growth strategies.

The responsibilities of the director of business development include recommending ways to improve operations planning, attending meetings with clients and advisors, and notifying partners of key business developments. You should also be able to assess business risks by analyzing financial, statistical, and economic data.

To be successful as a director of business development, you should be persuasive and have strong business acumen. Ultimately, an exceptional director of business development should be adept at negotiating sound business deals as well as demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.

The responsibilities of a Business Development Directors are:
1. Develop and establish key channel partners in target areas.

2. Managing and growing key customer accounts, and coordinating the management of all other accounts.

3. Take charge of client acquisition and create new business opportunities to maintain the company’s relevance and competitive edge

4. Regular engagement and meetings with new potential clients.

5. Leverage on existing relationships to achieve valuable takeaway for members, while ensuring the sustainability.

6. Plan, set and execute sales strategies based on client’s requirements and needs.

7. Develop in-depth knowledge of company offerings to identify profitable business opportunities.

8. Researching emerging trends and recommending company offerings to satisfy clients’ needs.

9. Manage clients’ expectations by ensuring proper business alignment between regional teams.

10. To establish customer relationships, manage and handle customer expectations professionally, and ensure a high customer satisfaction level.

11. Provide consistent updates to management on areas of improvement for sales performance.

**Requirements**:
1. Knowledge and practice on trading of non-ferrous metals, futures analysis and trade on like LME, Shang Hai, US COMEX markets is a **MUST**

2. Aside from fluent in English, incumbent is required to command in Mandarin and Cantonese to be able to communicate with Hong Kong and China customers, vendors and colleagues.

3. Bachelor's degree in business administration, marketing, finance, or related field; Master's degree is advantageous.

4. Proven business development, sales, or marketing experience.

6. Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.

7. Exceptional leadership and management skills.

8. Effective communication and negotiation skills.

9. Strong business acumen.

10. Detail-oriented and persuasive.
