**The role**

We are looking for a Manager, Alliances & Ventures to join our Innovation team in the Global Logistics division. You will be responsible for accelerating corporate innovation transformation by building alliances across the company and external innovation eco systems to drive growth and partnerships for research in potential investment strategies of technology. You will design and develop venture programs and encourage collaboration with innovation ecosystem partners to drive value and acquisition for the business.

As a Manager, Alliances & Ventures, you will:

- Conduct research, due diligence and analysis of markets and sectors across different technologies and innovation platforms. Stay abreast of market trends and competitor landscape to shape and improve innovation platform
- Scout new leads/start-ups in lined with group’s investment framework and prepare presentation materials as well as other relevant business proposal documents
- Identify and build partnerships with VC partners, which includes Angel investors, Venture Capital Funds and Accelerators/Incubators. Continuously engage the network of external partners and their portfolio companies through joint events and marketing
- Establish and define a global supply chain innovation community of technology start-ups, corporates, government bodies and educational institutes. Create an ecosystem for value exchange to lead to commercial product development
- Manage a range of media channels to share innovation insights, successes and thought leadership (social media, videos, articles/blogs)
- Develop Toll Startup Accelerator program to evaluate and onboard startups at various stages of funding
- Engage with external stakeholders to drive close and regular collaboration with Toll’s innovation team.

**Qualifications**:
**About you**

To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Graduate and/or postgraduate qualifications in business management, Public Relations, Innovation Leadership and/or entrepreneurship
- Minimum 5 years of experience in venture development and partnership building as well as managing communities of educational / government / industries
- Experience creating engagement content for business audiences Previous experience in corporate ventures /tech / digital agencies a plus
- Very strong communication, interpersonal, and facilitation skills. Comfortable with public speaking and leading engagements
- Knowledge and experience of innovation approaches and activities (e.g., hackathons, challenges)
- Familiarity with venture capital and innovation processes
