The Asia Communications Leader is responsible for the development and orchestration of Microsoft’s communications agenda in this dynamic and diverse region. We are looking for an experienced leader, with a proven track record in creating clarity, generating energy and delivering breakthrough, measurable Communications results - for our business and our people in Asia. Regional experience, collaboration and cultural fluency are critical to the success of this role, which will be accountable for leading a community of talented communications professionals throughout the region.

**Responsibilities**:

- Works with a broad range of stakeholders including Asia President to develop and orchestrate break-through external and employee Communications strategies in support of our business objectives and employee agenda throughout Asia.
- Lead a talented, diverse team to drive thought leadership, revenue, and customer satisfaction goals at the regional, area and subsidiary level in Asia.
- Build and support a community of Communicators in the region, facilitating strategic planning and prioritization, training and development, best practice sharing, resource allocation and more.
- Serve as a regional ambassador and spokesperson to key media/influencers in the region
- Work alongside internal partners on planning, integration and readiness
- Drive resource management and optimization to ensure strategic budget allocation and efficient use of Communications resources.
- Oversee the implementation of forward-leaning tools and measurement systems, including automation, measurement and monitoring.

**Qualifications**:
Required/Minimum Qualifications:

- 20+ years’ experience in senior communications or marketing role in a related corporate or agency environment, preferably with 5+ years of international experience in Asia.
- Exceptional communications competencies including media relations, reputation management, creative storytelling, employee communications and social media skills.
- Role success will rely on strong business strategic vision; thought leadership; consensus building; team and people management skills; ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple complex projects in a fast-changing environment
- Ability to build partnerships and work effectively across organizational boundaries, multiple business partners, virtual teams, vendors, and agency partners to achieve group-wide goals
- Growth mindset with proven track record for new, innovative approaches and smart risk taking
