**What the role is**
- This is a Senior/ Forensic Scientist role which sits under the Forensic Chemistry and Physics Lab, Forensic Science Division.
**What you will be working on**
- Job Description: - Provide quality and efficient forensic science services for casework in the area of traffic accident. Responsible for conducting and reporting in the forensic examination of traffic-related casework such as speed calculation, blind zone determination, traffic accident reconstruction, etc. - Provide expert testimony in Court for the administration of Justice. - Provide expert consultation services to the law enforcement agencies, lawyers and others in the area of traffic accident. - Continuously strive for development and improvement in the methodology, technology and quality aspects in the area of traffic accident. The use of equipment and computer software simulation may be required for some of the casework.
**What we are looking for**
- Job Requirements: - Background in Physics, Mechanical or Civil Engineering. - Highly motivated with a strong desire to protect public health and safety. - Dynamic individual, able to work independently, have a good sense of team spirit. - Excellent written and spoken English, good oral presentation skills. - Meticulous personality. - Successfully completed degree coursework in Newtonian mechanics. - Familiarity with programming languages such as MATLAB, R and Python is a plus. - Having a driving license and knowledge in the operation and mechanical parts of motor vehicles will be an added advantage. *Pls note that only shortlisted applicants will be notified.
