**What the role is**
- The jobholder will play a key role in developing game-changing capabilities for investigations and intelligence that are responsive to national needs & operational priorities. He/she will work alongside a team of forensic scientists to research, develop and validate new methods to evaluate the effects of drug use on neurochemical processes and in drug characterisation.

**What we are looking for**
- Education - BSc(Hons)/MSc/PhD in Biochemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology and/or related science disciplines. Experience - At least 5 years of relevant academic, industry, forensic or research experience (research experience in MSc/PhD will be considered) - Knowledge of research methodology, and practical experience in execution of scientific research projects in academia and/or industry - Experience with cytometry, cell culturing, ligand binding and functional assays is preferred - Experience in working with animals will be advantageous - Experience in multivariate analysis, principal component analysis, statistical software, computational modeling & simulations, coding & programming languages will be advantageous Other requirements - Passionate in the pursuit of scientific innovations that are aligned with the Home Teams’ mission - Strong analytical & reasoning skills, applies a logical methodical and hands-on approach - An independent worker as well as a strong team player who can work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and technology providers - Committed, motivated, self-starter, forward-looking and fosters a climate of experimentation within the team - Good organizational skills; able to prioritize and multi-task effectively to ensure that deliverables are met in a timely manner - Good communicator (oral and written) with strong interpersonal skills - Capable of translating results from analysis work into actionable recommendations - Honesty, integrity, tenacity, including a positive attitude, empathy, gratitude and a strong sense of responsibility - Good problem-solving skills with attention to details - Singaporeans only
