Reporting to the Head of Talent & People Experience, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing, meaningful, personsalised and seamless experiences across all the people moments that matter in Zespri, including the design, development and implementation of frameworks, resources, tools, experiences and capability development opportunities across the full people lifecycle. With a focus on best practice, and cutting-edge people initiatives, we are striving to lead out with a world-class people experience, punching above our weight, and delivering a delightfully different, and uniquely Zespri culture and experience for our people.
The People Experience (PEX) & Capability Lead role is not restricted to traditional ‘functional’ HR paradigms and is responsible for considering how Leadership, Development, Engagement, DE&I, Technology, Learning, Recognition, Wellbeing and Performance come together to impact our Peoples experience and work to make it as engaging and meaningful as possible, whilst delivering outstanding results.
Leading a small team of People Experience & Capability Partners, and Advisors, you will ensure the people-ecosystem is fully functional, and all initiatives are business relevant and delivered to a high standard while also actively contributing to and delivering the overarching Talent & People Experience strategy for Zespri.
Key Accountabilities include:
- Organisational Development (Zespri People Moments that Matter) - Interpret the Zespri People strategy, and collaborate with the business to design and deliver the Zespri people moments that matter, including development and implementation of frameworks, resources, tools, experiences and capability development opportunities across the full people lifecycle.
- Culture - Lead and deliver culture activation initiatives while ensuring that all people experience initiatives are designed and delivered in alignment and reinforcement of the Zespri culture and values.
- People Ecosystem - Maintain ecosystem to ensure it is fully functional, and all parties are proactively collaborating to identify areas for improvement and develop interventions that support organizational growth and development.
- Team Leadership - Develop a values-driven, high-performing and engaged global PEX & Capability team by providing vision and direction and inspiring and empowering them to succeed.
- Zespri Culture - Lead and drive a winning culture of high performance within the business by ensuring the Zespri values remain ‘alive’ and are understood, embraced and actively demonstrated by all leaders and employees.
- Business Planning & Budgetary Management - Drive the process to ensure that the PEX & Capability business plan and budgets are delivered to a high standard, on time, and within budget.

- Knowledge of change management principles and the ability to navigate and manage organizational change
- Proficient in using various organizational development tools and assessments
- Strong leadership and influencing skills to drive change and gain buy-in from stakeholders
- High level of professionalism and integrity in handling sensitive and confidential information
- Leadership experience, preferably across multiple geographies
- Experience operating in a global, multinational and diverse environment
- Business acumen, and commercially astute
