Singapore Insider Inc. Full time

Insider Inc. launched a global news bureau in Singapore in January 2021. We're a team that thrives on taking on challenges and jumping on the biggest news of the day. We're hiring a paid intern (S$3,000 monthly) to join our growing newsroom's breaking news desk for 6 months.

On a daily basis, you can expect to be working directly with the news editor and other breaking news reporters. You'll be expected to monitor social media channels and wires for news as it happens across the region, pitch stories in real time, and write articles on tight deadlines. On any given day, you could be covering topics ranging from international politics and business deals to real-estate moves and the latest in regional pop culture. You can expect to support the bureau's senior reporters with research as well as produce articles under your own byline.
- Follows news networks across the APAC region on a daily basis
- Has extensive knowledge of the best social media pages to follow for breaking regional news
- Is excited about joining a small, growing team

All our editorial interns should have:

- Experience reporting and writing (school publications are great), AP style preferred
- A passion for digital storytelling
- Voracious reading habits
- Familiarity with digital and social media
- Ability to work quickly and collaboratively with a fast-paced team
- Light HTML and/or Photoshop experience
- Solid proofreading and copyediting skills

Please note: This paid internship requires that you are based in Singapore, open to working in part remotely, and preferably full-time at 40 hours a week, for six months.
