(Senior) Manager, Vendor

**Overall Aim**:
Develop a more strategic approach to vendor and contract management at NUH, aimed at maximizing value from contracts and vendor relationships, driving sustainability improvements in contracts, and making the contracting life-cycle as efficient as possible.
**1) Contract Management**:
- Develop and implement a robust contract management framework to ensure consistency, transparency, and efficiency in the management of contracts.
- Continuously review and refine the framework to adapt to evolving organizational needs and industry best practices.
- Identify key contracts and collaborate with contract owners to analyze cost drivers and carbon impact.
- Partner with contract owners to optimize contract specifications, reducing costs and enhancing sustainability.
- Implement a system to track vendor performance against agreed-upon metrics.
- Collaborate with contract owners to enforce contract terms and ensure compliance, addressing any deviations promptly.
- Centralize ownership of contracts from various departments to improve overall organization and efficiency in contract renewals.
- Enable other contract owners to focus on their core responsibilities while ensuring a coordinated and streamlined approach to contract management.
**2) Vendor Management**:
- Engage key vendors to foster strategic partnerships that enhance collaboration and improve hospital operations.
- Work closely with vendors to understand their capabilities and explore opportunities for joint initiatives that benefit both parties.
- Drive initiatives to bring more benefits and maximize the value derived from expenditures with vendors.
- Continuously assess vendor relationships to identify opportunities for cost savings, process improvements, and innovation.
- Design and implement a Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) service in clinical areas to enhance resiliency, efficiency, and accountability of consumables.
- Collaborate with vendors to establish systems for real-time inventory management and restocking to meet the hospital's needs.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the VMI service, implementing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Identify opportunities for process optimization, cost reduction, and enhanced service levels through the VMI system.
**Job Requirements**:
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. Master's degree preferred.
- Proven experience in contract management, vendor relations, and implementing inventory management systems.
- Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively across departments and with external partners.
