**Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned**:
The Strategic Sourcing Specialist is responsible for Indirect Strategic Sourcing in ISEA (Island Southeast Asia) Cluster of Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Indonesia for Medtronic. Part of team managing ~US$50M/annum spend across HR, IT, Marketing, Professional Services, Real Estate & Facilities, Supply Chain & Logistics, Travel.

This role will be responsible for delivering best practice sourcing across all indirect categories including delivery of supplier cost and service benefits to the business, effective supplier relationship management and the development and implementation of local policies & practices.

Reporting to the Cluster ISM (Industrial, Scientific and Medical) Lead, and working closely with the Regional ISM team, the role will be an integral part of delivering value to our business. The role will be an individual contributor.
- Develop and deliver a robust pipeline of cost improvement opportunities and drive continuous improvement in the cost base under his/her responsibilities.
- Partner with local business leaders and users to execute end-end process from to RFP (Request for Proposal) and contracting on key projects.
- Develop and manage relationships & performance with key suppliers to ensure continuous quality of service & efficient cost.
- Ensure robust contract compliance in place.
- Maintain and continuously improve procurement practices and internal processes to ensure efficiency and effectiveness and business compliance.
- Maintain ISM profile in the business and strong relationships with key stakeholders and with commercial and functional teams.
- Partner with Finance P2P (Purchase-to-Pay) team to ensure effective integrated procurement-to-pay experience for business stakeholders
- Leverage APAC & global category management to drive value in his/her countries.
- Partner and collaborate with other country ISM on pan-APAC projects and initiatives
- Continuously educate entire organization on procurement policy/process/function, raise awareness, build and maintain ISM as a key partner to the business

**Required Knowledge and Experience**:
**Must Have**:

- Bachelor’s degree in any field
- Minimum 5 years’ experience in sourcing and procurement in a multinational environment with at least 2 years within indirect sourcing and procurement

**Your Profile**:

- Proven experience in contract negotiation and partnering within a country/region/ context for indirect sourcing categories.
- Strong track-record in delivering cost and service benefits through strategic sourcing via bottom-up planning and stakeholder influencing.
- Fluent in English language
- Experience in project management, and delivery
- Experience in Healthcare / CPG an advantage, not essential
