- Develop and implement a multi-years Direct Materials category sourcing strategy, incorporate savings targets and business allocation plans that align with finance and business objectives.
- Act as primary point of contact for assigned Direct Materials category suppliers.
- Lead Request for Proposal/Quotation (RFX), evaluate and negotiate proposals, drive the selection of suppliers, drive supplier qualification and development of strategic suppliers.
- Maintain collaborative relationship with suppliers while effectively resolving supplier performance issues to ensure alignment with Skyworks’s strategic direction.
- Ensure suppliers comply with Skyworks’ Supplier Quality Manual, RBA Code of Conduct and Social Accountability and Supplier Sustainability Requirements
- Own and manage overall Strategic Supplier relationships for Direct Materials category.
- Collaborate internally to drive and develop key performance measures/metrics for Strategic Suppliers and monitor supplier performance against these expectations to ensure continuous supplier improvement.
- Lead in organizing and delivering on strategic supplier events, such as Quarterly Business Reviews, Annual Supplier Evaluations and Executive Review Meetings
- Perform market analysis, benchmark world-class approach and identify opportunities to leverage changes in supply base that optimize the competitive advantage of Skyworks’ business.
- Utilize should-cost models for assigned categories that are benchmarked and relevant to the global marketplace.
- Deep analysis of potential risk of supplies (financial health, capacity, global demand supply & etc.), evaluate relevant controls and recommend new control and/or sourcing plans to address the key gaps.
- Subject matter experts of Direct materials categories as assigned, be a trusted advisor to Development, Process & Engineering senior leadership relating to supplier engagement.
- Job Requirements- Bachelor’s Degree preferably in Engineering or Supply Chain Management
- Minimum 8 years of related experience preferably in semiconductor MNCs
- Solid understanding of sourcing processes, contract negotiation and supplier management.
- Ability to develop business cases and lead opportunities with quantifiable financial benefits.
- Competent in project management, detail orientation, innovative and ability to independently handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong relationship management skills and the ability to be a persuasive advocate.
- Knowledge of Sourcing & Procurement processes
- Ability to travel.
