Our Distribution team in Singapore is looking for a Sales Manager to develop and grow our business across Southeast Asia with a major focus on building and expanding the Retail Business in Singapore:
- Develop and implement sales strategy for SEA Distribution Business that is consistent with the overall BNY Investments sales strategy;
- Expanding Retail distribution channels in terms of client type such as but not limited to Retail Banks, Insurance companies, Fund Platforms, Brokers, IFAs, etc.;
- Grow and maintain existing clients and assets;
- Increase the shelf space penetration of BNY Investments products and build strong brand awareness across channels;
- Maintain an understanding of the full range of BNY Investments products for providing suitable solutions to distributors and investors;
- Manage end-to-end process of business development from initial pitch to onboarding of products and/or clients;
- Knowledge of the Institutional distribution landscape within SEA would be an advantage
- Ability to take on coverage of institutional distribution within SEA, where and when needed
- Coordinate and ensure delivery of strong after sales service to clients;
- Awareness of competitive landscape and produce business plans, maintaining robust pipeline of business opportunities;
- Working with Marketing to design effective marketing campaign to support product promotion and to participate and support clients’ marketing and sales activities such as events and trainings etc;
- Keep appropriate records In Salesforces of sales activities including call meeting notes, prospective client contacts, activity against targets etc.;
- Working hand in hand with other BNY Mellon teams (e.g. Product, Client Services, Marketing, Operations, Legal and Compliance) on planning, resources allocation and coordinating with IM EMEA sales team and our Boutiques in order to enhance sales effectiveness and efficiency;
- Entrepreneur mentality with strong team work attitude;
- A self-starter who is able to multi-task and is highly organized;
- Strong client database within retail banks and Insurance companies will be an advantage
To be successful in this role, we’re seeking the following:
- Bachelor’s degree holder (Business, Marketing or Finance related), CFA is preferred.
- At least 8+ years of total work experience in which 5+ years within Business Development and Asset Management industry is preferred
- Driven, with track record in bringing in sales, preferably in the Intermediary business
- Experience in fund investment sales, Account management, sales support role, preferably in Intermediary Business
- Knowledge of Institutional distribution landscape in Asset management industry would be an advantage
- Fluent in English, ability to speak a second language will be added advantage
- Excellent computer skill, experience in Salesforce, Morningstar and Bloomberg Terminal would be advantageous
- Strong Investment knowledge
- Strong communication and presentation skill to dealing with different client segments, such as Fund Selection teams, Relationship Managers and Retail Investor
