Regional Legal Counsel, Apac

We are looking for Legal Counsel based at Singapore who will be Reporting to the Head of Legal, APAC, this position provides legal support and coordination on a full spectrum of legal work - i.e. drafting and negotiating all sales and purchasing arrangements, general corporate secretarial, compliance and advisory work. This position has a direct exposure to many internal and external stakeholders as part of the deal process.

**Main responsibilities
**Business Responsibilities**:

- provide IDEMIA’s regional management and sales people with efficient and practical legal advice on business issues and strategies;
- draft and negotiate complex cross-border commercial agreements for the sale and distribution of IDEMIA’s products, services and software solutions (including SaaS agreements), including all related IT/ outsourcing arrangements as required to support IDEMIA’s operations;
- ensure IDEMIA operates in compliance with all applicable internal policies, laws and regulations;
- deal with any litigation or disputes as they arise;
- assist in selecting and overseeing the work of outside counsels;
- develop and provide trainings to the sales teams to enable deal speed and scale.

**Ethics & Compliance Responsibilities:
- assist in the implementation and maintenance of the Corporate Compliance Program in the APAC Region and contribute as a strategic partner by advising business leaders and other clients to accomplish goals or adjust goals in accordance with such Programs and policies;
- assist internal stakeholders in setting and maintaining an ethical culture in the Region, in line with the Group values;
- assist in all Ethics & Compliance Department and cross-functional initiatives;
- develop and provide trainings to sales teams and support functions on compliance matters.

**Reporting & Administration**:maintain the repository of all commercial contracts in force for the APAC Region, reporting on status of contracts under review, securing appropriate approvals and signatures required in compliance with Group policies, copy/file/distribute legal agreements as required.

**Qulifications:
- A recognized law degree (LLB, JD) with minimum 3+years’ experience working as an in-house lawyer in a multinational technology company.
- Ability to draft and negotiate complex commercial agreements (in particular, for the sale of complete software platforms and professional services) with end customers (private or public sector), subcontractors or partners.

Travel requirements This position may require occasional business travel to support 13 countries regionally and occasional travel to HQ in Paris, France
