**This role will drive a customer-centric organization to drive sales and profitability through **leading our sales team in **a fast-paced and dynamic environment to grow our business in Science & Lab Solutions portfolio. You will be responsible to develop and implement effective sales strategy, through methodological analysis and approach, to achieve revenue target. This role requires extensive travel to assigned territories within Singapore, and directly reporting to Head of Science & Science Lab Solutions, Singapore.**:
**Your Role**:
**Sales**
- Consistently achieve or exceed quarterly and annual sales targets for assigned territories
- Provide entrepreneurial leadership relating to all aspects of development, implementation and communication of go-to-market strategy
- Lead, in conjunction with the cross functional team, the development and execution of the sales strategy as a key component of the go-to-market strategy
- Adopt analytical approach to identify growth areas on new business development for assigned territories
- Set, align and review the effectiveness of objectives and return on investment of sales and GTM strategies against key performance indicators and effectiveness of sales activities/programs in the field
- Conduct financial analysis, sales forecast and reporting relevant to sales activities and the provide information to line manager and other stakeholders as required

**Customer Experience**.
- Build strong customer relationships and deliver customer-centric solutions
- Develop and deliver omnichannel strategies and tactics that convey a clear understanding of the unique needs of different customers.
- Plan and execute Key Opinion Leader (KOL) management plan to grow and influence scientific community
- Identify customer insights using market research, competitive intelligence, and understanding of portfolio and regulatory changes in Singapore
- Work closely with the Marketing, Commercial Excellence and other commercial team members to ensure strong execution of strategic imperatives and programs
- Maintain and enhance knowledge of products, company developments, customers, market insights and competitors

**Leadership**
- Provide strong cultural and behavioural expectations to sales to ensure a strong performance culture within the sales team
- Manage sales team’s operational activities and performance, including key account management activites and sales incentive program/outcomes
- Take leadership on sales meetings and activities to ensure the goal is clear and delivered through the agenda and communication so these align with the vision and strategic priorities and sales goals
- Foster a performance culture and be actively involved in the development, coaching, performance management and training of direct reports
- Actively demonstrates behaviours in accordance with Merck values
- Perform other duties as required

**Who you are**:

- Bachelor/Diploma in Biology, Chemistry or any science-related discipline
- Minimum of 8 years of relevant sales experience in life science industry, with demonstrated ability to lead a high impact commercial team
- Strong leadership qualities to inspire and motivate a diverse team
- Resilient with ability to work under pressure
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in English
