**Overview**:
As the Head of Data Science, you will play a pivotal role in shaping and leading a professional team to harness the power of data analytics and science across various business units. Your responsibilities span from strategic vision-setting to hands-on involvement in developing sophisticated solutions for complex business challenges. This role requires a seasoned leader who can foster innovation, optimize data infrastructure, and champion advanced analytics methodologies to drive informed decision-making.

**Key Responsibilities**:
**Team Leadership and Strategy**:

- Build and lead a data science team, defining a strategic vision for data analytics and science initiatives.
- Develop and oversee the implementation of data science roadmaps, ensuring alignment with strategic business objectives.

**Analytics Development**:

- Drive the development and execution of sophisticated BI solutions, predictive analytics, and machine learning models.
- Champion the adoption of advanced analytics methodologies, such as AI-driven insights and automation.

**Infrastructure Optimization**:

- Collaborate with Database Administrators and Data Engineers to design and optimize data infrastructure.
- Explore and integrate new data sources, tools, and analytical techniques for continuous enhancement of capabilities.

**Cultural Fostering**:

- Lead by example in fostering a culture of continuous improvement and experimentation with new data science techniques.
- Mentor and develop team members, setting up frameworks for skill enhancement in machine learning, deep learning, NLP, and big data technologies.

**Stakeholder Engagement**:

- Engage with stakeholders at all levels to provide insightful, data-driven recommendations.
- Deliver presentations that inform and shape key business strategies based on data-driven insights.

**Requirements**:
**Experience**:

- Minimum 8 years of experience in the data domain, with a proven track record in BI roles and advanced analytics modeling.
- Extensive experience leading and managing data science teams.

**Skills**:

- Strong business acumen with the ability to translate complex data insights into clear, actionable business strategies.
- Expertise in stakeholder management and effective communication.
- Proficiency in cutting-edge data science techniques, tools, and platforms.

**Leadership**:

- Demonstrated ability to build and scale data science capabilities from scratch.
- Outstanding problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
