Assistant Vice President, Sales Quality

Sales, Distribution and Business Development plays a vital role in understanding and meeting customer needs by offering the right solutions through the right channels to the right customer segments. The team is responsible for implementing distribution strategy, driving the delivery of market leading personal banking customer experiences and thereby maximising customer satisfaction.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as an **Assistant Vice President, Sales Quality.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- The primary role of the Sales Quality function is to provide assurance that HSBC’s customers are treated fairly and are recommended products that are suitable for their needs and appetite for risk
- In addition, Sales Quality should ensure that sales are conducted and documented in line with HSBC policies and procedures as well as being compliant with respect to local regulatory requirements
- Sales Quality should ascertain that the products sold by the sales force are compliant and that all documentation meets to agreed service standards. The work must be undertaken in accordance with external and internal regulators, current legislation, Compliance and Departmental procedures
- This role reports to the Head of Sales Quality (WPB) and will perform a number of tasks related to the Sales Quality business includes lead, motivate and develop the Sales Quality (Surveillance) in delivering the required expectations
- Success in this role will be dependent on the role holder’s ability to follow the policies, identify any issues related to the quality of sales and timely feedback
- Perform review of Wealth and Retail trades in accordance with the Group Standards and local regulatory framework
- Support the implementation of Global Minimum Standards Sales Quality principles and guidelines on a timely manner and ensure full adherence
- Lead the quarterly reporting exercise to MAS regarding the Balance Scorecard Framework
- Ensure all areas of risk are considered with the correct remedial action taken
- Ensure policies and procedures are followed and updated
- Ensure external and internal regulatory guidelines are consistently applied ensuring the operational integrity of the department and to highlight any compliance breaches of procedural issues
- Continually reassess the operational risks associated with the role and inherent in the business, taking account of changing economic or market conditions, legal and regulatory requirements, operating procedures and practices, management restructurings, and the impact of new technology

Requirements
- Qualification in Financial Planning preferable
- Comprehensive knowledge of Financial Services/industry/products/regulation
- Strong decision making
- Communicate at all levels with confidence (written & verbal)
- Good working knowledge of HSBC
- Comprehensive knowledge of the BSC Framework
