**Job Summary**:
**Job Duties and Competencies**:

- Responsible for risk governance and reporting over Allied World’s four Asia Pacific branches
- Chair all management risk committees for the regulated entities in the region and report on risk to Boards or related entities in the Asia Pacific region
- Responsible for regulatory reporting, including the completion of the Own Risk and Solvency Assessment (ORSA) reports and Recovery planning for the Asia Pacific branches
- Create and maintain policies and practices which consistently and reliably identify, measure, monitor, manage and report on risks faced by the Company in the Asia Pacific region
- Develop and maintain an effective risk management framework which supports the company’s risk management and business strategy, including maintaining Asia Pacific’s Risk Register and setting and monitoring risk appetites and tolerances
- Update and maintain various Risk Management and Governance documents (including risk policies)
- In coordination with local Finance and Zug Capital Modelling teams, create a framework to validate the calculation of regulatory and economic capital for each Asia Pacific branch
- Assist with capital planning for the branches to ensure that they continue to meet their regulatory capital requirements
- Ensure compliance with risk-related regulatory requirements for Asia Pacific branches. Liaise with regulatory bodies with regards to risk management requirements and ensure compliance with all risk-related legal and regulatory obligations
- Act as liaison and provide risk management training to primary risk owners in the region on identification, monitoring and measurement of risks as well as understanding of enterprise risk principles
- Provide risk management training to all employees in the Asia Pacific region
- Assist the Global Chief Risk Officer, Chief Risk Officer, Global Markets, and management in optimizing risk adjusted returns, and in embedding risk awareness into the Company’s decision-making

**Qualifications**

**Essential Requirements**:

- Significant experience in risk management environment
- Ability to provide thought leadership to business regarding risk matters
- Ability to communicate with all levels of business, but with sufficient gravitas to present to Board and chair risk committee.
- Sound knowledge of capital modelling and exposure management framework
