**Role Description**
The purpose of this role is to help execute the go-to-market strategy for Harmonic’s SaaS business in EMEA and APAC with the ultimate goal to rapidly grow our MRR (Monthly Recurring Revenue) by increasing the pipeline of SaaS opportunities.
As a Business Development Representative part of the APAC-EMEA Video Market Development team you will identify, qualify and generate new business opportunities and pipeline within EMEA and APAC to ultimately deliver additional revenue to the organization.
In the BDR role, you will do well if you have experience in business development and/or outbound prospecting, if you love a challenge, working in target-driven environments, and succeeding as part of a team. We are seeking someone who is not afraid to speak to C-level customers on the phone as well as making sure you are up to date on the newest technologies and industry trends.
This position offers a great opportunity for growth, learning and evolution inside an industry leading company providing cutting edge video SaaS technologies to the biggest media companies in the world.
You can be based anywhere in APAC or EMEA, with close proximity to major international airports.
**What you will be doing**
- Drive Harmonic’s growth through inbound & outbound, strategic & targeted prospecting efforts, generating high-value sales leads (start-ups, unicorns, enterprise businesses) that will turn into opportunities and closed business.
- Identify and quality new leads then professionally handover the leads to the Sales team.
- Be a key team member of the Harmonic Sales organization, driving new business and delivering on the strategy for the EMEA and APAC region.
- Work side by side with Business Development Directors and Account Executives to uncover and create well-qualified new SaaS opportunities.
- Understand the business and research relevant sales targets (verticals, customer segments, etc) and gather key lead information.
- Present a balanced approach to cold calling, relationship development, sales process, and appointment setting.
- You will drive brand and product awareness by promoting Harmonic SaaS solutions in the EMEA and APAC market to raise curiosity and interest.
- Identify and develop an in-depth understanding of each lead generation process, supporting marketing activities, prospect touch-points, and the transition and handoff of opportunities to an Account Executive.
- Document daily activities, records of interactions and prospect information in CRM database.
- Learn from our well-seasoned Sales & BD team. Maintain and continuously update personal knowledge by studying new product description, using trainings and internal e-learning materials.

**What you need to succeed**
- Experience in Sales related environment including lead generation and complex selling of B2B and SaaS solutions.
- Independent business developer demonstrating proactivity in lead generation
- Strong listening and customer relationship skills.
- Adaptable, curious, and comfortable with a fast-paced, dynamic and customer facing environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communications including the ability to simplify and communicate complex ideas.
- Influencing skill and experienced in working with all levels of management inside and outside the company.
- Active relationship builder who can collaborate with internal and external teams to consistently improve processes and communication workflows.
- Fluent in English. Speaking other languages is a plus.
- OTT workflow knowledge experience is a strong plus.
- Enthusiasm, fun and optimism.
**Travel**
- Travel may be required to meet customers and peers
**Educational Requirements**
- Bachelor's or Master's degree is preferable.
