Income is undergoing a big transformation across its business and technology landscape. As part of this ambitions journey, Income is looking at Leapfrogging it data capability across the organisation. This include focus areas like changing organisation culture around data, Increasing the usage of data in decision making and enabling advanced concepts like ecosystem partnering, AI and ML based risk management and personalisation.

Over the last year Income has laid the foundation for data governance. With very good sponsorship from senior management, Income is now looking for highly competent and passionate individual who would like to be part of the journey right from the start of the transformation and shape this journey strategically and scale up the role of governance in the organisation.

**Responsibilities**:

- Provide strategic and operational leadership for data governance activities
- Define the objectives of governance and ensure clearly articulated outcomes
- Setup and rollout data governance framework with clear timelines
- Defining policies and standards, principles, governance metrics and processes and Influence organization behaviour
- Identify stakeholders and establish roles and responsibilities to operationalise policies and processes
- Serve as a liaison between business and technology to ensure that data related business requirements for protecting sensitive data are well established
- Develop & maintain domain maps, and catalogue of key data repositories and their owners
- Define key metrics for governance to ensure compliance with data related policies, standards, roles and responsibilities, and adoption requirements
- Manage and co-ordinate all key issues and escalations around data governance
- Liaise with compliance, risk and security on all regulatory issues related to data management
- Mentor the internal governance team and engage with necessary service providers to build assets to support governance.

**Qualifications**:

- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a major financial services organization, with large-scale data or project management and oversight experience
- Minimum 5 years of experience running data governance function OR part of the governance team in a large financial services organisation
- Good knowledge of data governance industry practices and trends
- Good understanding of business and technology issues related to management of data, specifically around metadata and quality management
- Good understanding of the information management practices including data life cycle management, data modelling, master data management
- Knowledge of data related regulatory requirements and its implication
- Demonstrated consulting skills, with change management concepts and strategies, including communication, culture change and performance measurement system design
- Experienced with managing internal audit and compliance processes for data in a financial services organisation
