Senior Assistant Director, Workforce Planning and

Key responsibilities:
- Manage the development and implementation of manpower policy for the University, such as the process for establishing new positions and replacement of existing positions in the Delegation of Authority.
- Review new and replacement headcount requests and organisation structures with HR Business Partners and present these requests at Headcount Rationalisation Panel meetings alongside with HR’s assessment and recommendations.
- Oversee Staffing and Organisation partner roles in Workday to manage changes to University positions and organisation structure, and playing a governance role to ensure that processes are done correctly.
- Analyse current and future workforce requirements and trends and propose recommended solutions to drive business decisions and strategic workforce planning. This includes:
- Working closely with University leadership to anticipate future demand and changes to education needs and assess the necessary manpower plans and capabilities to enable the University to meet these requirements
- Analysing complex datasets to present useful manpower data for analysis and reporting.
- Performing predictive analytics and modelling to determine workforce trends. e.g. projection of number of new faculty required annually based on college faculty-to-student ratios and/or projecting admin manpower flows.
- Designing and developing dashboards on workforce data and trends.
- Partner HRIS to facilitate ongoing improvements to Workday system for manpower planning
- Provide accurate and timely manpower data to both internal and external stakeholders
**Requirements**:
- Degree in Business Analytics, Statistics, Human Resources or equivalent
- At least 10 years of relevant experience in strategic planning, policy making, manpower planning & capability development
- Experience with Microsoft Excel preferred (familiarity with statistical packages and/or SQL a plus)
- Excellent problem-solving capabilities and strong analytical and critical thinking ability. Deep interest and aptitude in data metrics and trends
- Ability to work with senior stakeholders to translate data into meaningful information for supporting manpower and recruitment strategies and planning
- Knack for presenting data in an easy-to-understand manner
- Proven ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects
- Excellent communication skills
