**TAX MANAGER ASIA PACIFIC**:
Our team in **Singapore** currently has an opening for a **Tax Manager Asia Pacific**
**YOUR ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES**:
As Manager Tax Asia Pacific will support the Director Tax Asia Pacific within the following scope of topics regarding selected countries of the region APAC, with special focus on Indian Taxes.
**Subject Matter Expert in Indian taxes**
- Keep abreast in all Indian tax matters and update Director Tax Asia Pacific and relevant stakeholders
- Support in all business initiatives involving Indian tax including but not limited to M&A and other business activities.
**Structuring and Cross border transactions**
- Tax structuring/Tax optimization process: Development of tax saving strategies in the selected countries in collaboration with Director Tax Asia Pacific and Corporate Tax.
- M&A: Development of tailor-made finance and acquisition / divestment strategies in the selected countries in collaboration with Director Tax Asia Pacific and external advisors. Support in M&A process and post-acquisition tax claims in the selected countries.
**General tax matters**
- In charge for the optimization and further development of process management and Tax Compliance Management System.
- Support in election/coordination and supervision of tax advisors in the selected countries.
- Keep up to date with regional tax developments and analyse applicability to Brenntag group in collaboration with Director Tax Asia Pacific.
- Transfer pricing review and coordination in collaboration with Director Tax Asia Pacific, external advisors.
Support overseeing the tax risks.
**Tax Accounting and Provisioning (quarterly, year-end, budget)**
- Communication with Director Tax Asia Pacific concerning the companies in the selected countries, especially during the preparation of the annual financial statements, tax planning and quarterly reporting process of Brenntag group.
- Plausibility check of tax calculations (current and deferred taxes) of companies in the selected countries.
- Review of data entries for the region’s companies in GTC (Global Tax Center).
- Support of colleagues being in charge of tax reporting for the selected countries in case of any technical questions in connection with GTC or with basic problems with the calculation of current and deferred taxes for the companies in the selected countries.
- Reply to the questions of the Corporate Tax and Director Tax Asia Pacific regarding material aspects of tax calculations (current and deferred taxes) for the companies in the selected countries.
**YOUR PROFILE**:
**Job Requirement/Specification**:
**Education **:Chartered Accountant; strong knowledge of direct and indirect tax in India, good accounting knowledge, experience in international tax, transfer pricing knowledge and deferred taxes.
**Experience**: at least 5 years’ experience in Indian Taxation. Experience at an international group or accounting firm (Big Four).
**Others (specified)**:
- Fluent English
- Ability to communicate effectively with management and colleagues both verbal and written
- Independent, responsible, strong analytical skills
- Should have good interpersonal skills Ability to work in multilocational environment
