Global Risk is a thriving and expert risk management function supporting HSBC globally with all aspects of risk management. The team actively manages a varied and dynamic range of risk types, including security, fraud, information security, contingency, geopolitical, operational, credit, pension, insurance, market and reputation risks. All parts of the Global Risk team use their skills, insight and integrity to handle established threats and those they see emerging, acting to protect and enable HSBC to deliver sustainable growth.

We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Senior Vice President, Wealth Risk Management.**

**Principal Responsibilities**
- Support the Global Private Banking & Wealth (GPB&W) business in Singapore in the achievement of sustainable growth aspirations
- Support the Head of Wealth and Personal Banking (WPB) Risk in the effective identification, assessment, management, monitoring and mitigation of risk across all current and emerging risk types across GPB&W. Act as a point of contact across all GPB&W risk types and issues
- Provide independent input and challenge to governance forums within GPB&W to define the Risk Strategy and Risk Appetite
- Guide the implementation of Group Risk Policies across GPB&W, including any local exceptions to Group Risk Policy with relevant Risk Function Heads
- Aggregate the risk profile for GPB&W, providing oversight guidance of the business’s overall risk portfolio through judgement, challenge and analysis of risk and reward, ensuring exposures are managed in a consistent and systematic way in accordance with the parameters set by the Risk Appetite Framework
- Provide risk oversight/guidance over implementation of strategic GPB&W projects and support the risk transformation agenda across GPB&W
- Manage key relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and act as an active and engaged member of the Singapore WPB Risk team
Requirements
- Experience of minimum 5 to 8 years in private banking or wealth management risk is essential
- Familiar with legal and regulatory developments impacting the Private Banking business including changing statutory and regulatory reporting requirements
- Highly organized and ability to act independently and exercise broad discretion with mínimal guidance and supervision
- Sound Commercial Judgement and ability to systematically analyse complex information from a variety of sources
- Ability to influence through collaboration, and not be afraid to challenge status quo
- Strong team player, open to working with colleagues with diverse background
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
