We are currently seeking a high calibre professional to join our team as a **Vice President, Risk and Control.**

**Principal Responsibilities**

In this role you will
- Lead the First Line of Defence Risk Management Framework
- The First Line of Defence Framework includes all Risk & Control related tasks, including developing appropriate Risk Control Assessment (RCAs), Control Monitoring Assessment (CMA), Key Risk Indicator (KRIs), Risk Appetite and the Management Information (MI), and reporting, which ensure effective BAU monitoring
- Prepare governance materials for Head of Business to ensure strong oversight on risk topics
- Provide oversight of risk and control assessments and monitoring in country
- Demonstrate experience in incident management and investigation; work with stakeholders to identify the root causes, ensure required remediation, and escalation to regulators if necessary
- Implement Risks and Control Framework including control monitoring plans
- Coordinate and prepare responses to regulatory request, such as MAS CRAFT request for information, MAS Consultation Paper, and general queries relating to incidents
- Be comfortable in managing internal and external reviews, including preparing of Management Action Plans, tracking, and validating closure of the plans
RequirementsTo be successful you will need
- To be an experienced individual who can lead and influence the stakeholders, to provide advisory support to business on risk management
- Establish appropriate operational controls based on risk assessments, ensuring that the Group’s Operational Risk Management Framework is fully met and adhered to
- Ensure sound processes are in place to minimize operational risk in the IWPB business and maintain adequate control in the First Line of Defence
- Drive best operational practice through Risk & Control activities, thematic reviews, and liaison with other functional areas and IWPB business management
- Work jointly with the Non-Financial Risk (NFR) lead to implement the Risk Management Framework and integrate it into the IWPB BAU Risk Framework
- Work closely with the business and senior leaders in IWPB, as well as cross-business line, Second and Third Line of Defence stakeholders to manage the overall risk environment effectively
