Publisher Acquisition Manager

The Publisher Acquisition Manager will focus on discovery, acquisition and development of new publishers in Korea & broader Asia regions. He/she will develop and manage a pipeline of key publisher opportunities in developing verticals (Fashion, Finance, Content, Travel, Tech, Education etc.) that is aligned with commercial needs.
The Publisher Acquisition Manager will also offer dedicated strategic account management to our Top-Tier publishers and manage a portfolio of Growth & Discovery of high-performance potential publisher partners, with the goal of diversifying partnership opportunities locally.
Responsibilities- Be responsible for publisher recruitment and onboarding- Collaborate with Manager, internal and external stakeholders, to develop pipeline and recruitment strategies.- Work towards acquisition and revenue goals (Achieve reach, revenue and other key metric targets in line with set budgets and KPIs).- Presents Rakuten Advertising’s value proposition and product benefits to fuel greater publisher adoption.- Support the on-boarding of publishers to achieve high engagement and activation.- Represent Rakuten Advertising at external facing events (tradeshows and events), with the goal of acquiring leads for the acquisition group.- Provide account management to strategic and high-potential new publishers to develop towards becoming a top publisher and secure new active partnerships.-
- Document and efficient present newly recruited publishers to CS team to secure new partnerships
Requirements:
- 5+ years experience in Publisher or Affiliate Marketing role (or similar account management)- Experience working in high-growth, performance-focused environments- Self-starter and KPI/results driven- Hands-on approach with can-do attitude; problem solving; resourceful; ensure constructive accountability for actions; decisive; adaptable- Experience in strong client relationships, reinforced by building trust, advising and upselling
Ability- Ability to work well independently and as part of a team- Good working knowledge of Rakuten Advertising’s value proposition and product offering Affiliate Marketing experience, with publisher technology or tools (reporting, API’s, tracking).- Incubate a culture of collaboration, problem solving and teamwork- Strong communication and presentation skills- Attention to detail and deadlines
Skills- Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.- Commercial and negotiation skills.- Good written and communication skills- Develop and maintain relationships across a broad sphere of influence, including internal stakeholders, executives and management teams, and external contacts (publishers, platform partners, sister companies, etc.)- Able to converse in both English and Korean as you will be working with stakeholders and partners based in Korea
