Tribal Engagement Senior Policy Advisor

**Duties**: - Brings national policy expertise related to the federal trust responsibility (25 U.S.C. 5304) and government to government relationship between the United States and the federally recognized Tribes. - Serves as an agency expert on Tribal engagement and contributes to the latest substantive thinking in ACYF. Relates findings and specific knowledge of the broader child welfare, runaway and homeless youth, and positive youth development fields to tribal populations within ACYF policies and programs. - Manages a wide range of policy projects related to Tribal engagement, in collaboration with the policy teams in Children's Bureau and Family and Youth Services Bureau. Provides expert advice and consultation to make realistic assessments of difficult, complex and sensitive policy issues. - Provides expert advice and guidance to ACYF senior central and regional office personnel to ensure consistency of policy-informed practices related to Tribal engagement throughout ACYF.
