**About Us**:
**AgriG8 is on a mission to ensure that any farmer that practices climate resilient farming can be financed.**:
AgriG8 is a Agri-FinTech platform, making it attractive for lenders to invest in climate-resilient farming.

We do this through:

- A farmer engagement app that makes it easy for farmers to farm sustainably and log their actions.
- A lender platform that gives predictive forecasts for loan origination and credit assurance, built off aggregated data from the app and satellite data.
- Using our founder’s 14 years of experience in the rice fields of Southeast Asia, along with the knowledge of some of the best climate and agriculture scientists worldwide, to continuously refine and strengthen our predictive crop and credit scoring systems
- Established mid 2021 with our headquarters in Singapore, AgriG8 is the brainchild of a collaboration between Golden Sunland Singapore and Trendlines Agrifood Fund. _

**What's the opportunity?**:
As AgriG8’s Chief Scientific and Technological Officer, you will take full ownership of AgriG8’s technological roadmap, and strengthen our core value proposition the company as an Agri-Fintech platform with predictive credit scoring capabilities.

We are seeking a talented and driven CSO/CTO with a winning combination of:

- A proven track record in research domains of crop modelling and yield prediction in paddy fields
- A seasoned product builder who has brought AgTech solutions to markets.

Your work will directly allow farmers to gain increased access to capital and break the cycle of smallholder farmers being both victims and contributors to climate change.

**What will I be doing?**:
Leading and scaling AgriG8’s technical differentiation. This entails:

- Sharpening and creating feedback loops to strengthen our predictive credit capabilities
- Building up data infrastructure to deploy and scale machine/deep learning models
- Making executive decisions on identifying relevant behavioural, financial, agricultural, meteorological, and climate data, and combining them into crop and yield prediction models.

**What do I need?**:
Technical: 5-8 years in research and development work in rice farming and predictive analytics

Entrepreneurial: Co-founded or took on a technical VP-level (or above) role in a company for at least 5 years
- Experience in leading a technical team to build, scale, and maintain data infrastructures and visualisation tools for end users
- Experience in building and operating two-sided marketplaces with at least one side involving farmers as end users
- (Good to have) Familiar with building and scaling Machine Learning infrastructure with Docker
