**The Role**

This role reports to the Head of Finance and as the Regional Accountant, you will be responsible for the monthly reporting and financial management of the business. More specifically, you will be across the following:

- Preparation of monthly management reports required by internal stakeholders and regional OpCo office
- Manage the Budgets and forecasting process and be an active business partner
- Manage a small team, mentor and develop staff
- Analyse variances against forecast and provide commentary
- Play an active role in helping the business with technical accounting issues
- Manage the relationship with the external audit and liaison with external auditors as part of the preparation of financial statements
- Review of processes to ensure internal controls standards are met and documented
- Drive process improvement for transactional and financial accounting teams including implementation of new controls required
- Ensuring reconciliations and best practice accounting process is followed in respective business units.
- Developing relationships with individual business unit managers to foster a culture of financial and operational excellence
- Updating business units and management in respect of financial performance and KPI’s and assisting business managers in understanding their performance results.
- Developing and leading the administration and finance team, including developing goals and objectives to strengthen their skill set in preparation for further responsibilities.
- Developing and implementing new processes and technology to improve the financial reporting of the Group.
- Integration of BMS billing system to Xero Accounts Receivable.

**Your Background**

Ideally to be suitable for this role then ideally you will need to demonstrate the following skills:

- Preferably you will be someone who has worked in an audit environment (you could be a first-time mover) or has previously managed the audit in commerce and can demonstrate strong technical accounting skills
- Degree or Diploma in Accounting Study
- CA / CPA / IPA members
- 20 years of related experience
- Proficient in Xero Accounting System (Xero Advisor) and Microsoft Office Suite
- Ability to proactively problem-solve and think logically.
- Willing to travel Inter-Company
