Data Architect

DFS is rapidly transforming its information systems landscape to drive interesting business initiatives which has dependencies on how effectively data assets are being managed.

In this role we are looking for the data architect to lead the DFS data architecture roadmap across new and legacy technology areas through collaboration with Business Partners, Solution Architects, Business Analysts, and partners like Microsoft and Alibaba team and drive the business value by building the re-usable data assets and improve data quality.

**Responsibilities**:
Lead the Data Architecture activities spearheaded by Enterprise Architecture Team
- Design and develop the architecture roadmap for big data platforms including data modelling, data security, master data management, etc
- Architect the data platform for DFS, leveraging cloud native services and capabilities following best practices from industry and guidance/standards from LVMH group.
- Design data models and associated metadata for mission critical and high-volume data systems, real-time and distributed data processing systems, data lakes/data warehouse
- Work with systems and project teams in the overall IT solution, with the responsibility to ensure successful data design and implementation
- Leading the teams to conceptualize, build and maintain the Data Infrastructure for relational as well as Big Data Infrastructure to deliver a high-performance Data Environment to process Retail, Digital, Supply Chain, and Customer Data from various partners.
- Being responsible for Data Warehousing Design, Data Integration Processes, Database Resource Planning, Infrastructure Performance, Data Governance and Security Management as well as design, architecture, implementation, and documentation of new, scalable ETL processes, pipelines, pathways and dimensional data models.
- Work with Data Scientist, Business Consultant and Frontend Developer to build scalable Data Analytics Apps using advanced analytics.
- Audit and QA data and processes to ensure data quality and integrity throughout the data ecosystem
- Design technology stack that can support Data Governance people and processes
- Supervise Data Governance technical team removing roadblocks and mentoring the team to accelerate knowledge and Data Governance maturity.
- Responsible for data profiling, data analysis, data specification, data flows mapping, business logic documentation associated with new or modified data capture requirements
- Navigate challenges in terms of uncertainty and focus on delivering high value at any given time
- Communicate risks and issues to different stakeholders including senior/executive management

**Key Requirements**:

- 10-15 years hands-on experience and a passion for data architecture in a big data environment, data warehousing, ETL Processes and related services as well as experience and a very good understanding of supporting technologies.
- 3-5 years of experience architecting big data solutions on Alicloud/GCP leveraging cloud native services (i.e., PaaS)
- Good experience in Database Technologies, like SQL and Big Data Technologies and Database Performance Tuning
- You should have a minimum of 3-5 years of designing and implementing Data Governance tools from a business perspective
- Experience in data quality, data governance, and supporting tools
- Proven experience of cross functional leadership in complex organizations with strong emphasis on influencing and collaboration
- Strong analytical orientation
- Teach, mentor, and provide value on a consistent basis to stakeholders
- Ability to translate strategy into an operational plan and can execute delivering consistent value to DFS
