The Composers and Authors Society of Singapore (COMPASS) is a non-profit collective management organization established in 1987 created to protect and promote the copyright interests of composers, authors* (and their heir) and publishers of musical works and their related lyrics. COMPASS administers the public performance, broadcast, diffusion and reproduction rights in music and musical associated literary works on behalf of its members and the members of its affiliate foreign societies. We help music users get the necessary authorization to use copyrighted local and foreign works and help creators get royalties for the use of their works.

**The Role**

The Documentation & Distribution Associate/Executive will be responsible for documentation of musical works and processing of music usage reports to ensure the proper calculation of royalties of the musical works.

**Main Responsibilities**

Register and update the works documentation of local members and affiliate societies

Process queries from various parties and respond in a timely manner

Update local members works with affiliated societies and ensure that royalties are obtained for their usages overseas

Track and process music usage reports submitted by various clients and ensure that the works are in order for distribution processing

Process and compile usage return reports from various and digital platforms to ensure the accurate distribution of royalties to its members

Assist in processing the Company’s repertoire ownership data exchange with digital platforms on a timely basis to ensure monetization of repertoire is maximized

**Key requirements**
- Degree / A Level / Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma / N Level Higher Secondary/ Professional Certificate/ NiTEC
- Able to communicate effectively in English, both in written form and verbally
- Good mathematical and analytical skills
- Self-starter who takes initiative
- Good planning and organisation skills
- Strong team player
- Have an interest and love for music

Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy; ability to multi-task, proactive and flexible attitude

Ability to cope with several projects simultaneously and be able to work under pressure

Self-driven and organized, being able to produce results with mínimal supervision, clear understanding of technical terms, concepts and specifications with good problem-solving skills

Excellent attention to details and good documentation skills

Excellent technical skills in excel and in data manipulation.

Ability to write and communicate in Chinese / Malay / other languages
