**Overview**:
**The incumbant is responsible for the profitability and growth of the Marine Geotechnical service line within the framework of the Marine Site Characterisation business line.**:
**Directs the service line in establishing short to long-range plans, strategy, and policy in order to create a dedicated focus to meet the strategic goals of the organization. Wins unique and significant (regional) project opportunities by**:

- Developing and delivering the short to long-term (regional/global) service line strategy
- Developing and maintaining client satisfaction, sustainable revenue and profit growth,
- Building business cases to transform and grow the geotechnical business in the APAC region

**Other key objectives are;**:

- Interacts with Group Director, Regional Business Line Director and Global Directors on strategic issues, key clients and capex decisions
- Driving employee engagement at all levels to improve productivity and performances in alignment with Fugro’s core values
- Coordinates activities with other geographies and other service lines for expertise
- Ensure optimal deployment of people and assets
- Enhancing Fugro’s market share/position compared to competitors in the APAC region
- Driving and embracing a culture of change and drive high performance teams by actively managing Delivery Excellence
- Interfacing with Support functions - Procurement, Finance, Legal, QHSSE and HR

**The Marine Geotechnical SLD manages and leads the below departments;**:

- Commercial Delivery Team which consists of Proposal managers.
- Project Delivery Team which consists of Project Managers and Coordinators
- Operations Team which consists of Ops and Technical Managers, Engineers and Coordinators who have responsibilities over owned geotechnical vessels, chartered vessels, robotic drills and geotechnical seabed equipment
- Geotechnical Engineering Team
- Geotechnical Soils Laboratory
