The teams are always looking to acquire business opportunities to drive Shopee to be the No. 1 e-commerce platform in Southeast Asia and Taiwan. The aim of the Business Development and Partnership teams is to provide Shopee’s buyers with a wide variety of product listings at the best prices.
- Manage the overall strategy of the Shopee Singapore's Business Development team
- Develop and implement strategic business development plans that expand Shopee’s merchants base covering but not limited to: competitor marketplaces, key offline brands, local and social sellers, distributors and retail groups
- Oversee strategic partnerships including but not limited to government bodies, business federations and trade organisations
- Collaborate closely with local and regional teams to identify new business opportunities for Shopee Singapore and drive business growth via brand acquisition
- Adopt a consultative and data-centric approach to identify key opportunities/ blockers for brand acquisition and design customised solutions to increase sales conversion
- Reach out and negotiate with key brands to partner with Shopee via different business models
- Build effective internal processes and downstream flows for incoming sellers to maximise sales conversion and performance growth
- Identify and work with various commercial and government partners to drive innovation and impact in new business areas

**Requirements**:

- A Bachelor’s degree in any field; experience in e-commerce industry will be an added advantage
- 1-3 years of leadership experience in a sales and partnerships role preferred
- Ability to present and communicate key information to stakeholders in a clear and succinct manner
- Experience in project management including process optimisation and managing multiple stakeholders
- Relevant experience in seller acquisition, B2B sales or consumer goods industry is a plus
- Knowledgeable and passionate about e-commerce
- Ability to thrive in a dynamic and collaborative environment
- Innovative problem-solving skills with ability to analyse problems and implement concrete solutions
- Highly organised and able to carry out tasks independently
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel; must be comfortable with numbers
