**Objectives of this Role**:

- Lead full-cycle development across front-end and back-end stacks with focus on Python (Flask/Django) or Node.js (Express/NestJS).
- Ensure system scalability, high availability, and security in all new feature development and platform enhancements.
- Collaborate across teams to deliver secure, maintainable, and future-proof systems.

**Responsibilities**:

- Develop backend systems using Python or Node.js, and optionally support legacy PHP.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs and interface them with front-end systems.
- Contribute to front-end features using React/Vue where needed.
- Collaborate with design teams to ensure a cohesive and visually appealing user experience.
- Ensure cross-browser compatibility and responsiveness for various devices.
- Maintain test coverage through unit/integration testing (Jest, PyTest).
- Participate in Agile ceremonies and CI/CD automation with GitHub Actions.
- Identify system bottlenecks and proactively refactor code.
- Implement logging, metrics, and exception monitoring (ELK, Prometheus, etc.).
- Participate in project planning, code reviews, and team collaboration.

**Required Skills and Qualifications**:

- Proficiency in Python (Django/Flask) or Node.js (Express/NestJS).
- Familiar with React/Vue and web development tooling.
- Strong understanding of database systems (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB).
- Version control with Git.
- Experience in developing and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Ability to work with server deployment and configuration (e.g., Apache or Nginx).
- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

**Bonus Skills**:

- Familiarity with PHP is a plus.
- PCI DSS or secure coding background.
- Knowledge of GraphQL or WebSockets.
- Familiarity with containerization and container orchestration (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes).
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud).
- Exposure to microservices architecture.
- Effective communication and collaboration skills within a development team.
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field is a plus.
