**About the Role**

We're looking for a highly motivated and result oriented underwriter to join Global Engineering Asia team with working location in Singapore. Key focus of this role is to support our SEA team in developing engineering facultative and treaty reinsurance portfolio.

**Responsibilities**
- Profitably grow facultative and treaty engineering portfolio and expand Swiss Re’s profile in the allocated markets, while providing high quality underwriting services and risk solutions for reinsurance clients (primary insurers and brokers).
- Follow up post underwriting activities such as, monitoring of portfolio, risk survey, reserve setting, treaty special acceptance and claims supports while helping the administrative staffs to manage document and IT system accurately according to company guidelines.
- Strengthen Swiss Re leader position in SEA Engineering reinsurance markets according to company strategy. e.g. perform marketing activities, client services, underwriting training..etc.
- Work together with Cross Functional Team to strengthen overall partnerships with reinsurance clients, to support their business development and hence to improve business profitability
- Play an active role in the Swiss Re Global Engineering community in terms of knowledge sharing and new products development
- Support other lines of business with engineering underwriting and technical know-how for developing new market or business segment and for managing multi-line products.
- In addition to SEA region, to support business operation in North Asia team.

**Qualifications & Requirements**
- Recognized professional engineering qualification (BSc, MSc,) with experience in construction or design or project management of large infrastructure projects
- More than 3 years of experience in Engineering underwriting or loss adjusting.
- Engineering Underwriting experience in other Asian markets outside SEA region and language ability in Korean are of advantage.
- Results oriented, self-motivated & strong team player
- Good interpersonal skills and ability to establish and maintain effective working relations with internal and external people in a multi-cultural environment.
- Able to independently drive risk survey at construction site.
- Willing to travel 25% of time.
