Contribute to the overall results of the Group by sound technical and profitable underwriting.
- Develop SCOR’s market share and leadership position.
- Enhance Group image in the market by efficient and innovative support of client needs.
- Generate new offers and promote the Group by pro-active marketing in accordance with the strategy and guidelines defined by SBS managers.
- Receive, select and evaluate offers of facultative and direct business from various sources, calculate pricing, negotiate conditions of contracts.
- Work very closely with regional energy underwriter and step in as back up underwriter in case of an absence of the regional underwriter.
- Research, develop and report on new areas of profitable growth.
- Maintain an accurate computer database of approaches and risks accepted.
- Control and verify premium income according to business plan.
- Produce reports of various formats for reporting purposes as required.
- Maintain relationships with clients and brokers.
- Contribute to the claims settlement in conjunction with the claims department.

**Experience**:

- Onshore Energy Underwriting Experience minimum 3 years, ideally in Singapore market.
- Technical background (Engineer - Mechanical/Chemical) and/or Field experience (Oil & Gas preferred) would be a plus.

- Team player, good working knowledge of and relationships with colleagues in Asia, HO and subsidiaries

- Successful evolution in his career/previous company
- Knowledge of competitors, cedants and brokers within APAC market and internationally.
- Commercial and tactical vision (vs. pure technical) - ability to successfully negotiate “face to face” with brokers.

**Required Education**
- Engineering discipline, preferably Mechanical/Chemical Engineering, and/or finance.
