Why Join
Gain a foundational understanding of risk management within a leading financial institution. As a Risk & Prevention Intern within Global Consumer Financial Services, you'll contribute to safeguarding OCBC and our customers by supporting the review of internal processes, researching emerging threats, and assisting with key team activities.
How you succeed
To thrive in this role, you'll need a curious mind and a proactive approach to learning. You'll excel at researching complex topics, communicating your findings clearly, and collaborating effectively with team members. A strong ability to identify and analyze potential risks is essential.
What you do
You'll be directly involved in:
- Supporting the review of internal processes to ensure alignment with regulatory requirements.
- Conducting research on industry risk trends, emerging threats, and best practices in risk management.
- Attending regional meetings and preparing accurate minutes of meeting.
- Assisting the team with various ad-hoc projects and tasks as needed.
- Contributing to the overall effectiveness of our risk prevention efforts.

Who you are
- Currently pursuing an undergraduate or postgraduate degree.
- Demonstrates a strong interest in understanding and applying risk management principles.
- Possesses strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Exhibits good interpersonal skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with others.
- Proactive and eager to learn.
Learning Objectives
This internship will provide you with:
- A foundational understanding of risk management principles and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in researching industry trends and emerging threats.
- Skills in process review, documentation, and meeting minutes preparation.
- Exposure to a variety of risk management functions within a financial institution.
