We are seeking a dynamic and results-driven Business Development Manager to lead our global growth initiatives, with a strong focus on engaging and expanding partnerships with Japanese companies worldwide. This role is key to strengthening our presence across high-impact industries such as semiconductors, data storage, electronics, and biomedical.
You will be responsible for identifying strategic opportunities, deepening client relationships, and driving long-term value through a nuanced understanding of Japanese business culture and corporate structures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Drive global business development by identifying and securing opportunities with Japanese companies across international markets, including both headquarters and regional operations.
- Develop and implement market entry and expansion strategies that align with the decision-making styles and long-term partnership expectations of Japanese enterprises.
- Build and maintain strong, trust-based relationships with key stakeholders in the Japanese business ecosystem—including partners, customers, and industry influencers.
- Collaborate closely with product, sales, and marketing teams to localize offerings and tailor messaging for the Japanese market and clientele.
- Expand and grow business penetration within target industries by identifying unmet needs, crafting solutions, and navigating complex buying processes in Japanese organizations.
- Track industry trends and competitive activities to inform strategy and adjust positioning to maximize market impact.
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Proven track record in business development or strategic partnerships, with experience working with Japanese companies globally.
- Strong understanding of Japanese business culture, communication etiquette, and corporate decision-making.
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese is required, as the role involves in-depth communication, documentation review, and high-level engagement with Japanese-speaking clients.
